DocPin for v0

Share a v0 prototype without deploying an app.

Vercel runs your v0 app. DocPin is for the pages you send people: a client mock, a one-pager or a report, live at yourname.docpin.it, private if you like.

Free for 3 pages. No credit card. Works with Claude too.

Why DocPin

v0 deploys to Vercel. Why DocPin?

Deploying to Vercel is the right move for an app you're shipping. For a page you want one client to see, it's a lot of setup.

No project per page

Each v0 deployment is a Vercel project. DocPin puts every page in one workspace with readable links.

Access in one step

Limit a page to a client's email, their company or a password from the chat, without setting up deployment protection.

Know when it's read

See views, and the names of people who signed in, plus every version behind the same link.

Connect DocPin to v0

v0 lets you add your own MCP servers. Add DocPin, sign in, and v0 can publish pages into your workspace. That's all it can touch.

Open MCPs

In a v0 chat, click +, then MCPs and add a custom server.

Add DocPin

Name it DocPin, paste the URL below and choose OAuth.

Sign in to DocPin and pick the workspace to publish into.

Ask in chat

Say turn this into one self-contained HTML page and publish it to DocPin.

https://mcp.docpin.app/mcp

DocPin publishes pages that run in the browser. It doesn't host Next.js apps with server features; deploy those to Vercel. A Next.js app with no server features can be built as a static export and its out folder uploaded as a .zip.

Then just ask

Everything works from the chat

Say what you want in plain words. v0 picks the right DocPin tool and tells you what it did.

Publish this to DocPinpublish_page

Goes live at your workspace link and you get the link back, plus a card with Open and Copy.

Update itpublish_page

Publishes a new version behind the same link. Every earlier version is kept.

Only people at acme.com can open itset_access

Limits it to a company, specific emails, or a password (Pro). The link never changes.

Make this a dashboard I can updatepublish_page + set_page_data

The page reads its numbers from page data, so later updates don't need a republish.

Update the numbers: …set_page_data

New values go live. Anyone with the page open sees them within a minute.

View counts, and names for people who signed in.

Put it on the Q4 boardmove_page

Questions

DocPin for v0, answered

Can DocPin host my v0 app?

Not a full Next.js app with server actions or API routes. Deploy those to Vercel. DocPin is for pages that run entirely in the browser, like mocks, one-pagers and reports.

What kind of page works best?

A single self-contained page. Ask v0 to make it one HTML file with its styles included, then to publish it to DocPin.

Can I upload a v0 export?

If the app uses no server features, set output: 'export' in next.config, run npm run build, zip the out folder and upload it.

Does v0's generated app talk to DocPin?

No. v0 uses MCP servers while it works in the chat. Your published app doesn't connect to DocPin.

What does it cost?

DocPin is free for 3 pages, with a small DocPin badge. Pro is $8 a month for unlimited pages, your own domain, passwords and people-only pages.
