Ship what Cursor builds to a link you can send.

Reports, prototypes, test results and docs pages from your editor, live at yourname.docpin.it. Add DocPin as an MCP server, then ask the agent to publish.

Free for 3 pages. No credit card. Opens Cursor to add the server. Works with Claude and ChatGPT too.

Why DocPin

Why not share it from Cursor?

Cursor is where the page gets made. Getting it to a client, a manager or the whole company is a different job.

Localhost isn't a link

A preview on your machine stops when your laptop sleeps, and nobody else can open it.

Canvas shares stay in your team

Cursor's Canvas can share a read-only snapshot with your Cursor team. People outside it, and people without Cursor, can't open it.

A deploy is a lot for one page

Setting up hosting for a one-off report or prototype is overkill. DocPin gives it a readable link, access control and history in one step.

Connect DocPin to Cursor

DocPin is a remote MCP server with sign-in. Cursor opens DocPin's sign-in, you pick a workspace, and the agent can publish into it. That's all it can touch.

Add the server

Click Add to Cursor above, or add DocPin to ~/.cursor/mcp.json with the URL below.

Cursor shows DocPin as needing login. Sign in to DocPin and pick the workspace to publish into.

Ask the agent

In Agent chat, say publish report.html to DocPin as weekly-report.

Update it later

Ask again with the same name. The link stays the same and every version is kept.

https://mcp.docpin.app/mcp

In mcp.json: {"mcpServers": {"docpin": {"url": "https://mcp.docpin.app/mcp"}}}. The agent publishes one HTML page per call. For a whole build folder, use the command line or upload a .zip.

Then just ask

Everything works from the chat

Say what you want in plain words. Cursor picks the right DocPin tool and tells you what it did.

Publish this to DocPinpublish_page

Goes live at your workspace link and you get the link back, plus a card with Open and Copy.

Update itpublish_page

Publishes a new version behind the same link. Every earlier version is kept.

Make this a dashboard I can updatepublish_page + set_page_data

Update the numbers: …set_page_data

New values go live. Anyone with the page open sees them within a minute.

Questions

DocPin for Cursor, answered

How do I add DocPin to Cursor?

Click Add to Cursor on this page, or add {"mcpServers": {"docpin": {"url": "https://mcp.docpin.app/mcp"}}} to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project). Cursor then asks you to sign in to DocPin.

Can the agent publish a whole folder?

The MCP tool publishes one HTML page at a time, which suits reports and single-file prototypes. For a build folder, zip it and upload it, or publish it with one curl command.

What can DocPin see in my code?

Only what the agent sends it when you ask it to publish or change a page: the page itself and settings like who can open it. DocPin can't read your files or repo.

Does it work with Claude Code and other agents?

Yes. DocPin is a standard remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in, so any MCP client that supports remote servers can connect with the same URL.

What does it cost?

DocPin is free for 3 pages, with a small DocPin badge. Pro is $8 a month for unlimited pages, your own domain, passwords and people-only pages.
